International Partnerships
International partners cooperate with Geneva Call in the global implementation of its mandate, by offering help with logistics, advice, and technical assistance, while Geneva Call may for example serve as a conduit to NSA areas.
In 2009, important international partnerships were maintained and expanded. In its action against AP mines, Geneva Call generally works in partnership with international mine action organizations or institutions, such as , , the , the , , , the , , , the , the , the , etc.
New partners and networks are still being developed in view of an efficient action on the protection of children in armed conflict. Activities have been conducted after in-depth consultations with or in partnership with such partners as the , the , and the ICRC. For gender, the same is valid, and activities have been conducted or coordinated for example with the , the Program for the Studies of International Organization(s) (PSIO), the , and various UN agencies such as the UNDP. Consultations with international organisations working on gender issues, in particular on SGBV, are also initiated.
Geneva Call recognizes the formal partnerships with the and the , among other donors. The DFA is committed to support Geneva Call and the humanitarian engagement of NSAs, through its Strategic Partnership that has been in force since 2005. Since 2008, the agreement with SIDA has been instrumental in allowing Geneva Call to improve its professionalism, especially as relates to international standards for project management.
