Jean-Damascène Gasanabo, Head of Support, has a PhD in Education from the University of Geneva (2004). He started his career as a teacher and a principal for primary school in Rwanda. During his studies in Geneva, he worked with the World Health Organisation (WHO) as Scientific Collaborator for the “Health Education and Health Promotion Unit”. In Paris, he worked with UNESCO as Programme Specialist in Education Sector on the project entitled “Fostering peaceful co-existence through analysis and revision of history curricula and school textbooks in South-East Europe” (2005-2006). Within UNESCO, he also collaborated on “The United Nations Secretary-General’s Study on Violence Against Children” (2006). He joined Geneva Call in October 2006.
