PRESIDENT

Elisabeth Decrey Warner, President and co-founder of Geneva Call, is a physiotherapist, politician and human rights advocate. For over 25 years, she has worked with various NGOs on issues relating to refugees, torture and landmines. Her work was recognized in 2005 when she was nominated for Switzerland as one of the 1000 Women for the Nobel Peace Prize. Ms Decrey Warner was a member of the Parliament of the Republic and Canton of Geneva for 12 years before being elected as its President in 2000. She also created the Swiss Foundation for Landmine Victims Aid and is the coordinator of the Swiss Campaign to Ban Landmines. She is currently a member of the Board of the Interdisciplinary Programme in Humanitarian Action of the University of Geneva and a member of the Board of the Graduate Institute of Development Studies in Geneva and of the advisory Board of the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF).
