Gender and armed non-State actors

Aurélie Lamazière, Gender Issues Coordinator, holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation from the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation. Before joining Geneva Call, she was humanitarian policy and advocacy officer for Save the Children, in London and in Geneva. She also worked for five years with Médecins Sans Frontières as humanitarian advisor and did several field missions in conflict-affected areas (Pakistan, Afghanistan, Palestinian Territories, Chad, Sudan, RDC). A lot of her work focused on the protection of women affected by conflicts, in particular on sexual gender-based violence, notably in Darfur. She joined Geneva Call in December 2008.
